Description
Whilst most of us are not huge fans of the tax office, it is an important part of our nation and its development.
Established in 1910 within Treasury as the Land Tax Office and marking the significant development in our fledging Federation, the Office was created by then Prime Minister Andrew Fisher’s reformist Labor government as a way of funding its important social policies. Under the title of ‘Working for all Australians’ the stamp and coin reflects the past journey, and acknowledges the future role of taxation in our community.
This PNC features a cupro-nickel 20c coin and a 60c postage stamp postmarked 27 July 2010 Canberra ACT 2000.
