With the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games being postponed until 2021 due to Corona Virus this coin is a unique production. The Royal Australian Mint had already minted all of the stock for this product before the Games were postponed until 2021.
The Royal Australian Mint has released this 2020 $1 coloured uncirculated coin in support of Australia’s athletes who are participating in the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games, and in particular the 2020 Olympics Ambassador, beach volleyball player Taliqua Clancy.
