A beautiful vintage commemorative set released by the Royal Australian Mint in conjunction with The New Zealand Mint.
This pair was released in 1990 to mark the 75th anniversary of the Gallipoli landings.
The reverse of the New Zealand $5 coin shows a soldier standing in full World War One kit in front of the New Zealand flag. The Australian $5 coin shows an image of Private Simpson and his donkey with wounded soldier on the reverse.
The coins are aluminium-bronze each at 28grams.
As a vintage set, the packaging shows some wear and tear.
